Nainital Police officers and employees honored on Independence Day.

Nainital. On the occasion of Independence Day, Nainital Police celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm at all police stations, offices, and police units in the district. SSP Dr. Manjunath TC hoisted the flag and saluted the tricolor at Police Lines Nainital. Tributes were paid to freedom fighters and the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s security.
During the programme, the SSP administered a pledge to the police officers and employees to protect democracy, strengthen internal security and serve the people with honesty and dedication.
On Independence Day, Superintendent of Police (Communications) Revadhar Mathpal was awarded the Chief Minister’s Commendable Service Medal . Other Nainital Police officers and staff were honored with the Director General of Police Commendation Disc for their service and distinguished work.
Based on their service, Sub-Inspector Chandrashekhar and Additional Sub-Inspector Janaki Verma were awarded the DGP Commendation Disc Silver , while Additional Sub-Inspector Harish Chandra was awarded the DGP Commendation Disc Gold . For distinguished service, Head Constable Virendra Ram, Constable Shankar Nath, and Sub-Inspector Dilip Singh were awarded the DGP Commendation Disc Silver.
Apart from this, the SSP also honoured Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Bhatt, CO Bhawali Ravikant Semwal and constable Munni Devi Lohani with the DGP Disc Silver announced on the occasion of Republic Day-2026.
SSP Dr. Manjunath TC congratulated all the honored police officers and employees, saying that honoring police officers who perform outstanding work inspires other officers to do even better. He said that the Nainital Police will continue to work with the same commitment to public service and security in the future.
