Meeting regarding Partition Horrors Memorial Day, various programs will be held in educational institutions.
Bhimtal, August 13. A meeting was held on Thursday in the Block Auditorium, Bhimtal, regarding preparations for the Partition Horrors Memorial Day, which will be observed on August 14. Chief Development Officer Arvind Kumar Pandey chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the CMO directed all government and private higher education institutions and colleges to organize the events in a dignified manner. He said that maximum participation of students, teachers, employees, and public representatives should be ensured in the programs.
He directed institutions to organize exhibitions on the horrors of Partition, observe two minutes of silence in memory of the deceased, organize tribute ceremonies, and candlelight vigils. He also directed schools to organize speech, essay, debate, discussion, and quiz competitions.
The CMO also directed to motivate students to participate in the national online quiz competition being organised on the MyGov portal till September 15. He also asked to organise programmes to share the experiences of families affected by Partition and to widely publicise the programmes.
He said that the objective of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day is to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy and to strengthen the spirit of national unity, integrity, mutual harmony and brotherhood.
