Motor theft exposed in Mandi area, accused arrested with two motors.

Haldwani. Following strict instructions from Senior Superintendent of Police, Nainital, Dr. Manjunath TC, the police solved a case of motor theft in the Mandi area and arrested an accused. Police also recovered two stolen motors from the accused’s possession.

According to the police, unknown thieves stole three motors from the paddy mill farm, Swastik Industries, located in Teenpani, on the night of August 6. A case was registered at the Haldwani police station on August 12 based on a complaint filed by the plaintiff, Manoj Kumar Belwal.

To uncover the incident, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar, in-charge of the Mandi Police Post, examined footage from CCTV cameras installed around the scene and conducted a search. During the investigation, police identified the accused as Mohammad Sarik (28 years old), a resident of Indranagar, Banbhulpura .

On August 12th, the police team arrested the accused, Mohammad Sariq, and on his information, recovered two stolen cars. The cars recovered included a SINGLA 2HP and a Bharat Bijlee company motor. Based on the seizure, Section 317(2) of the IPC has been added to the case.

The police team included Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar, in-charge of Mandi Police Post, and Constable Arun Rana . This revelation by the police has raised hopes of curbing theft incidents in the area.
